Last night we were hanging out in our apartment when suddenly a scuttling creature darted across the tiled floor. It was a cockroach. It wasn't the first one we'd seen since our arrival in Malta and it certainly wasn't the last. This is the moment we decided to name them, in alphabetic order, first with girls names then going onto boys names. Claire wondered if we'd get through all 52 letters in the two weeks we're spending in this apartment but we laughed saying it would be over the duration of our time in Malta. However a mere 24 hours later and we've had the pleasure of meeting Annabelle, Bethany, Cindy, Denise, Edna, Felicity, Gemma, Henrietta, Imogen, Jasmine, Kayley, Lucy, Maureen, Nancy, Olivia and Penelope.
Before you start having nightmares of a cockroach invested hovel, our appartment is nice, if a bit small for four girls and 12 suitcases (a desciption of our holiday appartment will be posted soon). And now each time we spot a cockroach, instead of squeeling like the bunch of girlies we are, we excitedly shout "I've found _____" And they are definately less scary than the spiders currently invading England.
